Doctor Who returns for its new season in a couple of weeks! We'll catch up with Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor, alongside companion Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson). And we'll also see the arrival of a new companion, Belinda Chandra, played by Varada Sethu.

Ncuti Gatwa's debut season was very much a mixed bag. It served as a soft reboot for the entire franchise, which is now being made with Disney cash, meaning a bigger budget and a wider audience thanks to new episodes dropping on Disney+. Episodes ranged from excellent, such as "73 Yards," to disappointing, like "Space Babies" and "The Devil's Chord."

The new season — which is the second, 15th or 41st depending on how you're counting — looks pretty wild, featuring everything from an episode set in 2007 to a battle with an escaped cartoon by the name of Mr. Ring-a-Ding (Alan Cumming). There's also a Eurovision-esque interstellar song contest hosted by Rylan Clark, because of course. And it's all tied together by the larger story arc of the Doctor trying to get Belinda Chandra back home to Earth safely. Check out the latest trailer below:

Also, we can now reveal the official episode titles, as well as the writers and directors:

  • "The Robot Revolution": Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Peter Hoar
  • "Lux": Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Amanda Brotchie
  • "The Well": Written by Russell T Davies & Sharma Angel Walfall, directed by Amanda Brotchie
