Almost 10 years have passed since Grimm came to an end in 2017 on NBC after six seasons, but as diehard fans know very well, there's a distinct possibility that the series and our favorite characters could return to our screens in the future. After the project was announced to be in development earlier this year, we finally have an "exciting" update from Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch.
In a recent interview with TV Line, Tulloch shared some exclusive details we hadn't heard yet about the potential Grimm reboot, telling the outlet that a script is still being written and that her costar and real-life husband David Giuntoli met with the creative team behind the in-the-works follow-up. That's the most positive news we have received yet about the next chapter of Grimm.
As Tulloch teased to TV Line, "I know there’s a script being written, and I know that David met with them. I don’t think they would do a reboot or a spinoff or whatever it’s going to be without David’s involvement." Naturally, we're also wondering if she would be interested in reprising her role as Juliette/Eve in the new iteration of the series. Well, she didn't say no!

"I think it would depend on the script, what their vision is for the character," Tulloch said. She previously starred in the series in all six seasons, previously appearing as Nick's (Giuntoli) girlfriend Juliette, though for the last two seasons, she played a different version of the character named Eve. Seemingly, she would return as Eve, though the character was killed in the series finale.
Earlier this year, news dropped that Peacock is developing a Grimm reboot movie from Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman, who is writing and executive producing the film. In addition, the Grimm creative team is also on board and includes the original's co-creators David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf. Other details like casting and the premise still haven't been revealed.
Supposedly, the reboot movie would have connections to the series but would also be something of a standalone entity for new viewers to easily jump into. There's definitely some questions about how the movie would incorporate the original's characters and continue the story, seeing as the series finale flashed forward to 20 years into the future with a new generation.
In the past, a Grimm continuation series had been looked at by NBC, but a spinoff ultimately did not come to fruition. Should the Peacock movie go forward and become a success, who knows what could happen for the franchise. Anything's possible, and according to one of the show's stars, they're still trying to get the reboot right. Fingers crossed for more official news soon!
Grimm is available to stream on Peacock.
