Emilia Clarke will forever be known as Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, from Game of Thrones, but the actor has done a great many things in her career since then. She's spent months filming a new crime drama called Criminal, as well as doing voice work for an animated Netflix show called The Twits.
in her personal life, Clarke has been linked with some notable individuals, including dating Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane in the early 2010s. More recently, she's been seen in the company of DJ Sebastian 'Bassi' Fox. But according to The Sun, Clarke and Fox have now broken up after four months together.
This information comes from "a source" at The Sun: “Emilia and Seb aren’t together anymore," this person said. "They had a fun time, but something just wasn’t quite right between them. They gave it a good go but, in the end. they realised that perhaps they aren’t the right fit for each other. It’s been bruising, but there’s no hard feelings. She has told her mates that they want to try and stay friends.”
I am eternally fascinated by the "sources" for these types of articles. So whoever this person is apparently knows Emilia Clarke or Sebastian Fox well enough to know details about their dating life, which would make you think they're a friend. But then they go and talk to The Sun about their friend's personal life? Who are these people? How long after a heart-to-heart conversation with their friend do they wait before texting their contact in the tabloids?
But that's besides the point. The point is that the Mother of Dragons has broken up with her DJ boyfriend, or he broke up with her; the mysterious source didn't weigh in on that. Either way, they remain friends and the world keeps turning.
Actually, it's been a busy week for breakup revelations with Game of Thrones alumni. We just learned that Carice van Houten (Melisandre) has been broken up from her partner, Oscar nominated actor Guy Pearce, for years, although they continue to parent their 8-year-old son together. This news came direct from van Houten herself, not her friend who's weirdly always texting someone under the table whenever they have lunch:
