The complete Maze Runner film series is coming to Netflix in October 2025

According to What's on Netflix, all three Maze Runner films will be released on Netflix next month. The exact release date reported by the news outlet is Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025. While Netflix hasn't officially confirmed this date, the streaming giant has added each title to its platform, which suggests the release could be right around the corner. What's on Netflix is usually accurate with its reporting, so we'd still say expect the Maze Runner trilogy to arrive on Netflix on this date. We'll get back to you if things change.

The Maze Runner film series is based on the bestselling dystopian novels by James Dashner. The first film, The Maze Runner, centers on a teenage boy named Thomas who awakens in a strange place known as the Glade, with no recollection of his past. Trapped within a vast, shifting maze teeming with deadly creatures, Thomas and a group of other teens must band together to survive and uncover a way to escape.

The second movie in the franchise, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, sees Thomas and the remaining Gladers navigating a harsh, post-apocalyptic wasteland known as the Scorch. Tested by extreme conditions, dangerous rival groups, and the controlling organization WCKD, the teens must confront new threats while discovering startling truths about the world.

Last but not least is the third film, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, which follows Thomas and the remaining Gladers as they embark on a dangerous mission to infiltrate WCKD, save their captured friends, and finally uncover the truth behind the organization’s deadly experiments.

Dylan O'Brien starred in the leading role of Thomas. Also starring in the films were Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ki Hong Lee, Dexter Darden, and Patricia Clarkson.

Since these movies are considered licensed content, they will eventually depart Netflix. That said, it's important to watch them as soon as possible on the streaming service before you miss the chance. As of Sept. 24, the only way you can watch the Maze Runner trilogy is by renting or purchasing the movies on digital platforms. So if you can't wait until they land on Netflix, that's your only option at the moment.
