Daenerys Targaryen and Ser Jorah Mormont spend much of their screentime together throughout their eight seasons on Game of Thrones. With the deaths of Viserys Targaryen and Khal Drogo in Season 1, Jorah became the most prominent supporting character throughout Daenerys' journey, standing by her side as a loyal knight, offering her council, comfort, and friendship. A vast improvement over his book counterpart, Jorah's rapport with Daenerys helped solidity them as one of the best duos throughout the show.

Recently, the actors behind these two Westerosi icons reunited. Emilia Clarke, the four time Emmy Award nominee who brought Daenerys to life, and Iain Glen, the veteran actor who redefined Jorah Mormont, met with fans at Liverpool Comic Con.

Glen posted about their reunion on his Instagram account, saying, "Too long since I last saw [Clarke] but nothing has changed. She's as lovely as ever. Maybe slightly younger! Thank you to the wonderful fans [at Liverpool Comic Con] for a great day.

Daenerys and Jorah undergo quite the journey together on Game of Thrones. The duo first meet in Pentos, at Daenerys' wedding to Khal Drogo. Jorah, an exile from Westeros, pledges his sword to Daenerys' older brother Viserys, but it quickly becomes clear that Jorah lacks any respect for Viserys, instead favoring Daenerys. After Viserys is killed by Khal Drogo, Jorah's loyalties officially shift to Daenerys.

However, little does Daenerys know that Jorah is actually spying on the Targaryen siblings for King Robert Baratheon in hopes of receiving a pardon. That said, Jorah soon abandons all hope for a pardon, in favor of returning to Westeros at Daenerys' side when she conquers the Seven Kingdoms. He thwarts a would-be assassin's plans, fully earning the trust of both Daenerys and Khal Drogo.

After Drogo's death, Jorah aids Daenerys in her travels through the Red Waste and Qarth. He acts as an important ally throughout her conquest of the slave cities Astapor, Yunkai, and Meereen. However, when Ser Barristan Selmy joins Daenerys' cause, he figures out Jorah's history of spying, resulting in Jorah's exile.

Jorah is determined to return to the woman he loves, so when he crosses paths with Tyrion Lannister, he sees an opportunity. Jorah kidnaps Tyrion in hopes of presenting Daenerys with the imp to regain her favor. On the journey to Meereen, Jorah contracts the deadly disease Greyscale, and while Tyrion is welcomed into Daenerys' inner circle, Jorah is met with a cold shoulder. However, after helping rescue Daenerys from Vaes Dothrak, he reveals his affliction to her, and she commands him to find a cure.

Jorah goes to Oldtown, where Maester-in-training Samwell Tarly breaks protocol and saves Jorah's life by removing the infected skin. Jorah then meets Daenerys on Dragonstone, where she greets him warmly. Jorah soon leaves Daenerys' side to accompany Jon Snow on his quest to capture a wight beyond the Wall, but the two are reunited shortly after the mission.

Jorah remains by Daenerys throughout the Battle of Winterfell, where both play crucial roles in defending the living from the Armies of the Dead. Armed with the Valeryan Steel blade Heartsbane, Jorah defends Daenerys from the undead attacks, while Dany commands her dragons to wreak havoc on the Night King's forces. However, Jorah is killed in battle, succumbing to his wounds at the hands of countless wights. Many fans speculate that, had Jorah survived, Daenerys would have not gone mad in King's Landing just a few episodes later.

Emilia Clarke and Iain Glen have enjoyed well-deserved success since Game of Thrones

Both Clarke and Glen have enjoyed well-deserved success since Game of Thrones. Their fantastic performances have led to other big roles for the duo, though they've yet to act together outside the world of Ice and Fire.

Clarke took on the iconic role of Sarah Connor in 2015's Terminator: Genisys. She also plays the lead role of Lou Clark in the 2016 tragedy/romance film Me Before You, appearing alongside another Game of Thrones actor, Charles Dance, aka Tywin Lannister. Clarke also takes center stage in the 2019 holiday flick Last Christmas, and has joined both the Star Wars and Marvel Universes, starring as Qi'ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story and G'iah in Secret Invasion respectively.

Meanwhile, Glen's biggest post-Thrones role is that of the iconic caped crusader Bruce Wayne, aka Batman. Glen appeared as Batman in the series Titans. He also played Sir Richard Carlisle in the second season of Downton Abbey, shortly after Game of Thrones took off, and portrayed the main villain, Dr. Isaacs, in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Before Game of Thrones, Glen played the titular role on Jack Taylor, acted opposite Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and starred as Hamlet in the film adaptation of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.

Though their careers have gone in very different directions after Game of Thrones ended, it's nice to see these two incredible actors reunited once again.
