We’ve known for some time now that House of the Dragon season 3 will arrive in June, but the show’s premiere date has remained a mystery.

While HBO had no problem confirming the release month for the third season back in February, the network has kept the exact date of the show's return hidden, leading to speculation about when exactly the new season will begin. This has led to speculation among the fans regarding when exactly season 3 could arrive, with the only certainty being that the season premiere will fall on a Sunday.

Many have speculated that the show could arrive as early as the first weekend in June, while others have suggested we might not see season 3 arrive until mid-to-late June. Well, the guessing game might finally be over, as an official release date could be coming in less than 24 hours!

The House of the Dragon season 3 release date might be announced at CCXP

After months of speculation, the House of the Dragon season 3 premiere date could finally be confirmed by HBO this weekend when the stars of the hit series take to the stage at CCXP on April 25.

On Saturday, April 25, House of the Dragon cast members Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, and Fabien Frankel will take to the stage at CCXP in Mexico to discuss the upcoming third season of the show. During the panel, it is expected that HBO will debut exclusive announcements and share updates about the upcoming season with the fans in attendance. While it’s not been confirmed what exactly HBO might debut, it’s looking likely that HBO might drop a new trailer for the season and also reveal when the upcoming season will premiere.

This isn’t just wishful thinking. This speculation is based on the fact that when House of the Dragon attended CCXP in Brazil a few years back, HBO used the event to debut a new trailer as part of the show’s panel and debut new information about the forthcoming season.

Given how close we are to June’s arrival, the timing works out perfectly for HBO to use the CCXP event to announce the House of the Dragon season 3 premiere date. We’ve also already gotten our first teaser for the season, so there is a good chance that HBO could again debut a new trailer at the event, and it wouldn’t make any sense to continue to withhold the premiere date given how close we are to the premiere month.

We’ll find out what HBO brings to CCXP when the House of the Dragon cast takes to the stage for the show’s panel on April 25 at 7 p.m. CST. Hopefully, they’ll give us an official premiere date and a new look at the season, but there is always a chance they could make us continue to wait things out. After all, HBO will be sending House of the Dragon to ATX TV Festival in late May, so they could keep fans waiting if they want.
