The prior episode leaves a lot to build on, from Lord Ormund Hightower's pitch to give Daeron the throne toHelaena's surprising pregnancy reveal. Rhaenyra is also increasingly at odds with the people within the Red Keep. Her choices have distanced Corlys Velaryon, and now, she's dealing with distrust between herself and Daemon.

What happened in episode 4 and what to expect from episode 5
House of the Dragon season 3 episode 4 is another slow but tense addition to the series, though it contains a few surprises. One of the biggest is Ormund Hightower's plan to put Daeron Targaryen on the Iron Throne, a twist that promises to play a large role in the back half of season 3. The images released for episode 5 confirm we'll return to Tumbleton this week, so we can anticipate more scheming from the Game of Thrones franchise's newest villain.
The situation at Tumbleton will undoubtedly test Rhaenyra's ability to bring the Seven Kingdoms to heel, but that's not the only challenge she'll face. Both Aegon and Aemond remain at large, and we'll see more from them in episode 5 as well. There's also the issue of Helaena's pregnancy, which Rhaenyra doesn't know about yet. It promises to put her further at odds with Alicent and Helaena, both of whom will probably try to keep it from her.
Finally, Criston Cole promises to play a prominent part in this week's episode. Several of the stills see Cole and his army making their way across the Riverlands. They've honestly looked better, so it seems we could be building to another big loss for the Greens. Fans will have to tune in to find out which way the Dance of the Dragons goes this week.
