House of the Dragon season 3 is quickly racing by in the blink of an eye with just three episodes remaining this season. It’s been an unforgettable season so far and arguably one of the show’s best yet.
This has been in large part due to the show not only adapting some of the biggest moments in Fire and Blood but also giving fans several truly unforgettable moments! From Rhaenyra’s taking Queen’s Landing to the Battle of the Gullet, there have been countless moments fans have not been able to stop talking about… and, yes, just as many memeable lines we can’t stop ourselves from quoting! (Show of hands: who else is awash in dilemmas and deficiencies?)
What’s been so special about the season is that House of the Dragon has again become event television. Every single Sunday night (or Monday morning in some international fans’ cases), Game of Thrones fans across the globe sit down together to enjoy the episode as it airs for the first time. Fans love sharing their favorite moments and commentary online with others and know that if they can’t watch live, they’re going to have to be wary of spoilers, which will be aplenty once the episode is out there for the world.
Fans are used to this, but HBO is shaking things up with episode 6, and fans need to be prepared.
House of the Dragon season 3 episode 6 will be dropping early at Comic-Con
While House of the Dragon season 3, episode 6, will still be dropping at its usual time on HBO and HBO Max at 9/8c on Sunday, July 26, the episode will be screened early for a select group of lucky fans.
Although HBO opted not to do a House of the Dragon panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con event, they couldn’t let the year go by without including their biggest show! Instead of a panel, HBO announced a special fan screening of episode 6, which will be introduced by showrunner Ryan Condal.
The event is set to kick off at 10 p.m. PT on Saturday, July 25, which means that fans in attendance will get the chance to see the episode roughly 24 hours before its official premiere. This also means that spoilers will likely begin dropping late Saturday night into the early morning hours for fans based outside of the West Coast.
Because this will be a fan screening, it’s almost guaranteed that there will be spoilers for the episode hitting social media the minute the screening ends as fans react to the episode. This means that there is a higher chance key moments from the episode, including potential deaths, will likely fill your feeds, especially if you engage with Game of Thrones content often.
As such, if you want to avoid spoilers from the episode, it might be best to avoid social media until the episode drops on Sunday. At the very least, it might be worth avoiding the social media platforms that make it more difficult to avoid spoilers, such as X and Bluesky, as it’s much easier to quickly swipe past a video on TikTok to avoid a spoiler than it is to unsee a spoiler tweeted out in text. For those who do enjoy spoilers, you’re going to likely have a wealth of them at your disposal come Saturday night!
