For the next couple of days, Game of Thrones fans, collectors, and curious onlookers have the chance to bid on hundreds of authentic props, costumes and more from HBO's iconic fantasy megahit. From October 10-12, Thursday through Saturday, Heritage Auctions is auctioning off 900 items from Game of Thrones, including some biggees. Pretty much every costume, weapon, and piece of furniture you remember from the show is on offer. Check out the catalog for yourself, it's impressive.

Bidding has actually been open for a while, but the items will get officially sold over the next couple days. Heritage Auctions is running the auction out of their auction house in Dallas, but anyone from anywhere can bid, so long as they have the money. As I write this the day before the auction is to open, prices are quite fairly steep, many well above what they were when bidding first opened. And they'll probably go up as bidding intensifies. Here's a sampling of where prices were right before the auction officially began:

My personal favorite item is the shame bell used to harangue Cersei Lannister through the streets of King's Landing in the season 5 finale, because I think it would be fun to ring it whenever I'm even slightly annoyed by anything. Apparently a lot of people agree with me, because on Wednesday, October 9, a day before the auction officially opens, the price for that was $15,500. Someone's about to be insufferable and I'm sad it isn't me.

So yeah, these items aren't going for cheap, but with 900 available, it's just possible that you'll find something that appeals to you. Or maybe you can get a few of your Game of Thrones-loving friends together and go in on something. The final bell tolls this Saturday. One more time, here's the catalog.
