Prime Video's Invincible is one of those shows that gets better and better every season. The season 3 finale culminated in one of the most epic, brutal, violent battles in superhero history between Mark Grayson and the Viltrumite titan Conquest. Ahead of season 4 (which is likely to air in 2026), co-showrunner Simon Racioppa assures fans that the show will go up another level.

Those of you who've been following Invincible from the start will already be aware that it's not a quick show to produce. Animation is a long process, after all. Fans had to wait over two years between seasons 1 and 2, and when season 2 finally aired, it was split into two parts airing months apart.

The wait for season 3 wasn't quite as substantial, but it still left fans hanging for a year. Looking ahead to season 4, Racioppa says the team was proactive in anticipation of a renewal. “We started the scripts early in anticipation of hopefully a green light,” he told Podvincible.

As for what season 4 will entail, Racioppa played it coy, but promised a season of the "highest level" of quality. “We try to improve every season, so I hope people feel that,” he said, citing the character development of characters like Atom Eve. “She is a slightly different person than she was in 102. And it is nice to draw now on that history of her character to make her a more complex character.”

In a previous interview, Invincible creator Robert Kirkman refused to comment how long it would take season 4 to premiere. "I mean, we haven't really had time to really consider that, it's a problem for the future. Right now, we're just trying to get Season 4 done, so we'll see," he told The Invincible Podcast. "We'll see if we make it."

All 3 seasons of Invincible are now streaming on Prime Video. Season 4 is expected sometime in 2026. In the meantime, Kirkman recently debuted a new spinoff comic following the origins of fan-favorite character Battle Beast. It's well worth checking out!

And if you can't wait for season 4, you can always check out the original Invincible comic books, which have been complete since 2018. Mark and company have some wild times ahead of them. Things between Mark and the Viltrumite empire are already tense; the fourth season should escalate that to unbearable levels.
