Jason Momoa is playing Lobo in Supergirl (but the set photos are fake)

We have real photos of House of the Dragon alum Milly Alcock in costume as Supergirl...and AI-generated photos of Game of Thrones alum Jason Momoa as Lobo.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will feature the talents of multiple veterans of the Game of Thrones universe. Supergirl herself will be played by Milly Alcock, who played Young Rhaenyra Targaryen in the prequel series House of the Dragon. She'll face off against space bounty hunter Lobo, who will be played by original Game of Thrones alum Jason Momoa, who blew up thanks to his turn as Khal Drogo.

I'm betting that Supergirl will also fight some other villain besides Lobo, who feels more like a miniboss. In any case, the first images from the set are starting to leak, thanks to the tireless efforts of @UnBoxPHD. Here's the first, faraway glimpse of Milly Alcock in costume as Kara Zor-El:

And here's Milly Alcock's stunt double flying across the set on wires!

Supergirl is tackling someone in this video. It could be Jason Momoa (or Jason Momoa's stunt double) as Lobo, although it's hard to be certain. One fan took it upon themselves to cut through the ambiguity by fabricating pictures of Momoa on set using ChatGPT!

We know that these photos are AI-generated because the person who made them admitted as much, even sharing a video of how it was done. But I'll admit: if I didn't know these images were generated by AI, they might have fooled me. I assume that in a few years I'm going to see footage of a full-scale Martian invasion go viral online and for people to have already buried themselves in their bunkers before we all learn that it's fake.

Anyway, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26, 2026. Before that, Alcock will show up as Supergirl in Superman, which is out on July 11 of this year. Warner Bros. Discovery is hoping to build a whole new DC Cinematic Universe here. It's up to you whether it succeeds. Meanwhile, Momoa is having a moment thanks to his role in A Minecraft Movie, which is currently packing them into theaters all over the world.
