Brandon Sanderson is one of the most popular fantasy authors alive; he completed The Wheel of Time books after the death of Robert Jordan, and his own series like Mistborn and The Stormlight Archive are huge successes. And unlike some other authors in this space, Sanderson puts out new books at a dizzying clip; the guy never stops writing.
As such, his popularity only continues to grow, and it seems like it's just a matter of time before we see something of Sanderson's adapted for the screen. In the meanwhile, his fanbase is passionate and growing. If you want evidence, consider ChiefWilyChair, who in 2022 started designing Lego sets based on some of Sanderson's most popular works. ChiefWilyChair submitted their designs to Lego Ideas, a portal where fans can put forward their Lego creations to the public. If enough people support the project, the Lego people will actually look at them and consider making real Lego sets from them and selling them in stores!
To be considered, a project needs to amass at least 10,000 supporters. ChiefWilyChair's Brandon Sanderson designed crossed that threshold. Definitely go check out the designs; ChiefWilyChair submitted Lego sets based on Mistborn and The Stormlight Archive, Sanderson's most popular works.

Unfortunately, after reviewing the designs, the LEGO Review Board opted not to move forward with them. Lego doesn't fully explain why they passed on the idea, but does mention that they looked at a variety of factors, including brand fit, expected demand, licensing possibilities, production capacity and more.
Before today, I didn't even know that LEGO had a system by which ordinary fans could not only submit original designs, but actually get them reviewed by official LEGO employees. I think that's cool. I also love the idea of Cosmere Lego sets, although I'm not shocked they didn't go forward...yet. As popular as Brandon Sanderson is, I don't think his books are quite at the level where a company as big as LEGO would be interested; for that, you have to be more or less ubiquitous.
But I continue to think that a new level of ubiquity might be around the corner for Sanderson. I think all it'll take is some Hollywood studio to finally adapt one of his works to the screen. His books are already tremendously popular, but getting turned into a movie or TV show always affords another boost. Then LEGO will come begging to his front door.
