Nancy has a new job (or is pretending to) in leaked photo from Stranger Things 5

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is going to rock off all our faces, and we're lapping up as much information as we can.

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is filming as we speak. It's hard to overstate how popular Netflix's sci-fi period piece has become, and I'm sure the fifth season is going to be a major television event whenever it lands...we've been waiting two years now, so what's a little longer?

In the meantime, we're keeping our ear to the ground for any information we can get. Recently, the account Stranger Things Spoilers on Twitter/X posted a photo of what appears to be actor Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) in a nurse's uniform at Hawkins Memorial Hospital. On closer inspection, it looks more like Dyer's double. Also in the photo is an actor who could be a double for Joe Keery (Steve Harrington). Either way, the takeaway is the same: does Nancy become a nurse in Stranger Things season 5?

I'm surprised she could find the time: the fourth season of Stranger Things ended the interdimensional menace Vecna punching a hole through reality, causing the grim Upside Down dimension to leak into the sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana. I dunno if there's time for nursing school in there. I wonder if Nancy might be a volunteer, or else be disguised as a nurse to infiltrate the hospital. She's an aspiring journalist, after all, and gathering information is very much her thing.

As for why doubles would be needed for this scene, The Direct has heard rumors that something major may go down at the hospital; extras in military outfits are allegedly on site, as are patients, EMTs and other main characters. Plus there are reportedly blinking lights, which could hint that the Upside Down dimension is going to leak into the hospital, which won't be fun for anyone. If there's an action scene of some kind, doubles could be required.

All will be revealed when the fifth and final season of Stranger Things drops on Netflix, probably sometime in 2025.
