HBO is currently working on a TV show based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter book series, which was already adapted into a series of movies starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, the main characters. We know several of the actors who will appear in this new show, some of them playing important roles like Professors Dumbledore, Snape and McGonagall. But we're all waiting to learn who's playing the Golden Trio.

If you believe The Mirror, HBO has already cast these characters, but hasn't revealed the identities of the actors. According to The Mirror, the new trio of actors behind Harry, Ron and Hermione are 11 years old and British, which you probably could have guessed; the movie franchise famously kept things as British as possible. Then again, with American actor John Lithgow playing Dumbledore in the new show, things are looser than they were last time.

The Mirror also consulted with a "finance expert" to conclude that whoever is playing Harry, Ron and Hermione will become very rich, another thing everyone probably could have guessed. The Harry Potter story remains beloved among generations of people, and there will be a ton of eyes on the new series when it comes out sometime next year. Everyone involved should make a mint, and the closer they are to the center of the story, the more they'll make. And no one's closer than these three.

According to The Daily Mail, the identities of the three actors cast in these roles will be revealed "imminently," although until HBO actually makes an announcement I think all of this should be taken with a grain of salt. With filming set to start soon, we'll likely know in the near future, one way or another. Until then, HBO is probably doing the young actors a kindness by keeping their identities under wraps. All three of them will become famous overnight, which can be a blessing (because money) and a curse (because the public will scrutinize everything about them and people can be brutal).

Cameras haven't even started rolling on this show yet, but it's already weathering its share of controversies. First up, there's the fact that, since the last Harry Potter movie came out in 2011, author J.K. Rowling has become an obsessive transphobe. Some fans are concerned that she's associated with the series, however much executives assure us that it won't be "infused" with her personal views. And then there are those who just think the show is a bad idea:
