One Piece is giving fans a first peek at the big location for season 2 that expands on the fantastic world of adventure!
One Piece was a pleasant surprise for Netflix viewers in 2023. At last, a live-action adaptation of an anime series worked as the show captured the action and excitement of the beloved long-running anime series about a pack of misfit pirates hunting for a lost treasure.
Season 1 ended with Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar) formally becoming the Straw Hat Pirates and on their quest to find the treasure amid their other goals. That meant taking on other pirate crews as well as the Marines.
For once, a fantasy show was given a boost from Netflix who renewed it for not one but two more seasons. Season 2 is filming and set for release in 2026 as the show builds up for bigger adventures. And the first images showcase one of the prime spots of the One Piece world!

Say hello to Loguetown
The first official set images show the Straw Hats arriving at Loguetown, a spot many One Piece fans know well. The island was the birthplace and execution spot of Captain Gol D. Roger, whose hidden treasure sparked this whole thing. Like many ships, the crew is using Loguetown to load up on supplies before making their way to the Grand Line, which should lead them to the One Piece.
Speaking to IGN, showrunner and writer Joe Tracz previewed the story arc taking place at Loguetown.
“Loguetown is known as ‘the town of the beginning and the end’, so it's the perfect place to kick off a new season. It's a city packed with history, fun, and surprises -- some that fans may guess, and a few you won't see coming. As the last stop before the Grand Line, Loguetown is both a farewell to the past and the start of a new adventure for our Straw Hats. Their world is about to get bigger, the stakes higher, and the villains even more formidable. And it all begins here, setting the stage for the unforgettable journey ahead!"

In the original anime series and manga, a story arc at Loguetown has the Straw Hats running afoul of various enemies, including the infamous Captain Smoker, while each character gains an essential step in their own development.
While the arc will likely be shorter on the Netflix show, it should still use those plot elements and bring to life characters like Dragon, among others. It’s another sign of the Netflix show honoring the source material and why fans are so excited to see One Piece set sail again!
