Pedro Pascal has been highly popular in Hollywood these past few years, although his career as a whole really speaks for itself. The Chilean-born actor has been in the industry for decades, but his first true breakout came during his role in Game of Thrones.

Pascal has since appeared in series including Narcos, The Mandalorian, and The Last of Us. His filmography includes Wonder Woman 1984, Gladiator II, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

It seems as though the man never takes a break, as he has already appeared in a long list of titles so far in 2025. Along with his return as Joel in The Last of Us season 2 and his MCU debut, he co-starred in Materialists and Eddington this year. Up next, he will star in The Mandalorian & Grogu and Avengers: Doomsday. And, we recently got news that he is in talks to star in a new film by Tony Gilroy.

It is important to note that no final castings for Gilroy's new movie, Behemoth!, have been announced at this time. However, Deadline shares that discussions between Pascal and the studio, Searchlight Pictures, are ongoing.

"Plot details are vague at this time, but Gilroy has said in interviews that the film revolves around a cellist," Deadline reports, also confirming that principal photography is set to begin this fall in Los Angeles, California.

While Pascal has had an incredibly successful last few years, winning a SAG Award and receiving other prestigious nominations, Academy Award nominee Gilroy has been no slouch himself. As the creator of the two-season Star Wars series Andor, he was nominated for two Emmy Awards. This duo could very clearly make a dynamic and highly successful pairing for Behemoth!.

Before Andor, Gilroy was best known for writing popular movies such as Michael Clayton, multiple Bourne entries, and, of course, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He received two Oscar nominations for his work writing and directing Michael Clayton.

At this point, Pascal has not been officially cast for the upcoming film, but it's easy to see how he could make a massive impact on the success of the project.
