Despite eight fantastic movies that are still immensely popular today, we're soon getting a Harry Potter TV show, whether we want it or not. The TV adaptation is currently in early development at Max. In fact, HBO is currently casting actors to play iconic characters Harry, Ron and Hermione. It's getting closer, folks.

Since the announcement of HBO's 10-year commitment to making a Harry Potter TV show, the news has been met with some backlash. I mean, do we really need more Harry Potter? It feels like a safe and easy money-spinner for Max. Although it also presents a great opportunity to adapt the books on a much deeper level; there's only so much story you can tell in a movie compared to a TV show, after all.

Many of the cast members from the movies are intrigued by the new project. Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, is invested in the show, but he doesn't feel like he should be involved. Meanwhile, Matthew Lewis would be interested in exploring a grown-up Neville Longbottom: “I’d be very interested to see if it was Neville as an adult – a whole different vibe,” he told PEOPLE.

The most recent movie cast member to weigh in is Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley throughout all eight movies. When asked by PEOPLE for her thoughts, Wright said she was hoping for a more thorough adaptation. "My biggest hope as a fan of the books is that they're able to just include more of the world that we know and love. With TV shows, you've got hours unlike movies."

The movies skimmed over numerous character's backstories, such as Dumbledore, Voldemort, and Snape. Even Ginny's story was cut down compared to the books. "I'm hoping as a fan that I get to see some of the bits in the books that just didn't make the cut for our films because they had to be shorter," Wright explained. "All the characters, you can interpret them a billion different ways, so I'm excited to see how they're interpreted."

Now for the big question: Would Bonnie Wright be interested in joining the cast of the Harry Potter show? "Never say never, never say no," she revealed. "I would be [open], I'm ready."

Of course, she's too old now to continue playing Ginny. Any ideas who she could play now? Let us know!
