There are a lot of new characters we're going to meet in the second season of House of the Dragon, HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series. One of the most important is Addam of Hull, a peasant living on Dragonstone who will find himself coming face to face with a dragon. He appears very briefly in the season 2 trailer:

This version of the trailer was posted by actor Clinton Liberty, who plays Addam; that's him looking up as a dragon -- probably Seasmoke -- flies overhead. "I can’t wait for you to see [Addam]!" Liberty wrote in the comments.

Liberty also posted a picture of himself with a clapboard from the set, a wrap gift given to several members of the cast:

One fan complimented him on successfully keeping a lid on the news that he was cast in House of the Dragon while tackling the new role. "Was the hardest thing to do! But we’re here now!"

I won't spoil Addam of Hull's story here, but if you want to know what happens with him, you can read all about it in George R.R. Martin's book Fire & Blood. In a world dominated by violent schemers, Addam is a very likable guy: loyal, good-hearted and true. If the show sticks to the books, it could be a scene-stealing role.

We'll be able to see Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull when House of the Dragon season 2 premieres on HBO and Max sometime in the summer of 2024.
