  • Episode: House of the Dragon 201, "A Son for a Son"
  • What time is it on? Sunday, June 16, 8:00 p.m. CST/9 EST
  • How long is the first episode? 64 minutes
  • Where can I watch it on linear TV? HBO
  • Where can I stream it? Max

Max is the easiest way to watch new episodes of House of the Dragon. Max subscriptions cost $10/month with ads and $17/month without. You can also buy past episodes of House of the Dragon on Apple TV or Amazon Prime Video.

There will be eight episodes of House of the Dragon in this second season, down from 10 episodes in the first. Here's the release schedule for the whole season:

  • Episode 201: June 16
  • Episode 202: June 23
  • Episode 203: June 30
  • Episode 204: July 7
  • Episode 205: July 14
  • Episode 206: July 21
  • Episode 207: July 28
  • Episode 208: August 4

For right now, the first episode is the only one for which we know the title: "A Son for a Son," a reference to a key line from George R.R. Martin's book Fire & Blood. If you recall, the first season ended with the death of Lucerys Velaryon, the son of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen. Lucerys was killed by his own uncle Aemond, the brother of Queen Rhaenyra's rival King Aegon. After that, war between these two branches of the Targaryen family seems inevitable, especially if someone from Rhaenyra's camp decides to get "a son for a son."

House of the Dragon has already been renewed for season 3, but that's probably a while off. For now, enjoy the next eight episodes.
