Last Sunday, HBO Game of Thrones prequel show House of the Dragon returned to our screens. The season 2 premiere, "A Son for a Son," featured a hidden tryst, deep pools of grief, and brutal murder. It's another day in Westeros.
The next episode airs tonight. After the death of Prince Jaehaerys, tempers are sure to run high, especially in the Red Keep. King Aegon will want the two mercenaries who committed the crime dead, as well as the man who sent them: Daemon Targaryen. And we bet there'll be some blowback for Daemon's wife Queen Rhaenyra as well.
HBO is jealously guarding the title of the new episode, but we do know that it will run for 72 minutes, which makes it the longest episode of House of the Dragon yet produced. Here's your fact sheet:
- Episode: House of the Dragon 202
- What time is it on? Sunday, June 23, 8:00 p.m. CST/9 EST
- How long is the first episode? 72 minutes
- Where can I watch it on linear TV? HBO
- Where can I stream it? Max
If you have HBO, you can watch the new episode when it airs; feel free to follow the reactions of other fans on social media if you're into that kind of thing. If you want to stream it whenever after that, Max is the best method. Max subscriptions cost $10/month with ads and $17/month without. And you can buy individual episodes of House of the Dragon on Apple TV orAmazon Prime Video.
After tonight's new episode, there are six left before the season is over. Here's the full schedule:
- Episode 201: June 16
