Invincible season 2, part 2 is here, folks! The long gaps between episodes of Prime Video's superhero show are painful to endure, but the show tends to make the episodes well worth the waits. And the final four episodes of season 2 are no different; they bring the action, delivering even more iconic moments.

The first four episodes of season 2 set the pieces moving, introducing us to new villains like the multiverse-hopping Angstrom Levy and building on other stories such as Omni-Man's exile and the dangerous Sequids from Mars. Now it's all-out-action in the second season's second half. Invincible has his work cut out for him from all corners of the globe, the universe, and the multiverse.

"My goal for the show is just to make sure that every season builds on the one before it so that you have these intense moments in the show, hopefully moments that are very memorable," creator Robert Kirkman told The Ringer. "And I want moments in the successive seasons to be bigger, more memorable, more unique. It’s something I think we’ve accomplished with Season 2."

Of course, Invincible isn't Kirkman's first comic-to-tv rodeo. He also saw his comic The Walking Dead turn into the TV giant it is today. He's learned a lot of things along the way, although the process of adapting Invincible is intrinsically different. For instance, The Walking Dead comic was far from complete when he started working on the TV show where as he's finished with Invincible, so he was more willing to tinker with things.

""I’ve learned from the Walking Dead process. In working onThe Walking Dead, I was very much like, “Let’s change this. Let’s throw this out. This is going to be more exciting for me if it’s different,” because I don’t really like doing the same thing again. But with Invincible, I’m trying to work on the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” model."

The Invincible show naturally has some changes from the source material, but with the benefit of having a complete comic to adapt, all of the alterations feel vindicated and help the story progress.

Mark Grayson is at the heart of Invincible, not Omni-Man

It might seem like an obvious thing to say: Invincible is the main character of Invincible. But alas, some viewers started to question this in season 1, where the focus seemed to be heavily shared with Mark's father Nolan, aka Omni-Man. Kirkman is keen to reaffirm that this is very much Invincible's show.

"I will say there were a lot of people that considered Invincible to be the Omni-Man show after the first season, and I wanted the second season to very clearly establish that this is Invincible’s show, this is Mark’s show," Kirkman explained. "He’s the center of this world. We’re going to be experiencing everything through his eyes. Omni-Man’s very important, very present this season, but it’s definitely not the focus, and I think we accomplished that as well."

Invincible season 2, episode 5 is now streaming on Prime Video, with new episodes airing weekly.

Invincible season 2, part 2 is an epic, action-packed rollercoaster of emotion. dark. Next. Invincible
