Invincible season 2, part 2 gets "weirder and weirder," star teases
By Ashley Hurst
So far, Invincible season 2 has dialed everything up to eleven. Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) is facing threats from all angles. Whether it's his multiverse-hopping archenemy Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown), martian invaders, or Viltrumite attacks, he has his work cut out for him.
Right now, we're enduring an agonizing wait for the final four episodes of the season to air. The episodes will, hopefully, resolve most of the lingering storylines, such as Angstrom Levy's quest for revenge and Omni-Man's (J.K. Simmons) revolt against the oppressive Viltrumites after failing to prime Earth for takeover. Prime Video has not given a premiere date yet, but the streamer previously confirmed that they would hit screens sometime in early 2024. Watch this space.
In the meantime, the cast is continuing to hype us up. Look no further than voice acting legend Fred Tatasciore, best known as the voice of the Hulk across numbeorus shows as well as working on Star Trek: Lower Decks, Robot Chicken, What If...? and many more. Tatasciore also provided the voices for numerous characters in Invincible, including villain Killcannon and Atom Eve's father Adam Wilkins. Speaking to Traversing the Stars, the star teased what's in store for the season's endgame.
"It's continued on rando stuff, you know what I mean? All I'm gonna say to you is it gets weirder and weirder and weirder – and fun, in a good way! It's a lot of crazy aliens, I'll say that."
Invincible season 2 was never on Prime Video's January 2024 slate. However, we could see new episodes in February or March. The show hasn't even released a teaser for the final four episodes yet. It seems to have taken the team a little longer than expected to complete everything; no doubt it will be worth the wait.
The first four episodes of Invincible season 2 are streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
