More horror and frights are headed our way in Wednesday season 2!

Jenna Ortega has been teasing the second season of Netflix's Wednesday, and I have to admit, it sounds pretty solid. While speaking to Laverne Cox on the Emmys Red Carpet for E!, Ortega gave fans a sneak peek at what we can expect for the highly anticipated second season.

“I’ve received some scripts now for the second season, and we’re definitely leaning into a little bit more horror,” Ortega revealed. “It’s really, really exciting because all throughout the show never really changes and that’s what’s wonderful about her. There’s some really good one-liners and I think everything is bigger. It’s a lot more action-packed. I think each episode will probably feel a little bit more like a movie, which is nice.”

Season 2 will be filmed in Ireland instead of Romania. It is unclear why they are shifting locations, but it may be because things are about to take an interesting turn in the series. After all, there was a big reveal in season 1 that implied Wednesday may have a stalker (remember, Xavier gave her a phone at the end of the season and right afterward she got a text with a bunch of cryptic emojis). What this has to do with Ireland is beyond me, but tune in!

When does Wednesday Season 2 start filming?

According to Wednesday executive producer Steve Stark, they are all set to begin filming in April. Ortega is set to be an executive producer on Season 2 as well, so that is exciting!

Check back here for more updates on Wednesday Season 2, including news about the spinoff starring Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester. We can't wait for that one!
