Let's dream-cast a Game of Thrones animated series

If and when they reboot Game of Thrones as an animated series, who should voice characters like Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister? We dig in:
Season 8, episode 5 (debut 5/12/19): Liam Cunningham, Kit Harington.

13. Varys — Mark Hamill

Mark Hamill, the legend himself, lending his voice to the Master of Whisperers, Varys, would be... amazing. Hamill isn't just Luke Skywalker; he's the voice behind the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, which means he's got the skills to play complex and unpredictable characters. Varys is all about secrets and schemes. Who better to bring that mysterious vibe to life than the man who made us love a villain with a laugh that could curdle milk?

Varys isn't your typical anti-hero; he's a spider weaving his web with the silk of his words. Hamill's voice has that silky, persuasive quality; listening to him, he sounds as likely to plot the downfall of a kingdom as he is to invite you to afternoon tea. Imagine Hamill's voice, smooth as butter, dropping bombshells about the realm's biggest secrets or soothingly convincing a queen that his plans are for the greater good. Mark Hamill's Varys would be the master puppeteer, pulling the strings with a voice that's as compelling as it is cryptic.

Game of Thrones - Littlefinger

14. Littlefinger — John DiMaggio

John DiMaggio, the guy who brings to life the sassiest robot in the universe (Bender from Futurama, obviously); the coolest shape-shifting dog in all of Ooo (Jake from Adventure Time); and the legendary war hero Marcus Fenix (Gears of War) stepping into the role of Westeros' sneakiest, most ambitious schemer, Littlefinger. Why him, you ask? Because DiMaggio is a master at layering his characters with a mix of charm, wit, and a dash of deviousness, all wrapped up in a voice that you can't help but love, even when you know you shouldn't.

Littlefinger is all about playing the long game, whispering sweet nothings one moment and plotting your downfall the next. I can only imagine how DiMaggio would bring Littlefinger's intricate plots and schemes to life, delivering them with his signature blend of humor and gravity. The same voice that convinced us a robot could have a heart of gold (well, sort of) and a magical dog could be the wisest creature in the land could easily weave Littlefinger's web of lies and ambition.

With DiMaggio's voice, Littlefinger wouldn't just be a villain; he'd be a villain you love to hate and hate to love, all at the same time.
