15. Tormund Giantsbane — Patrick Warburton
An animated version of Tormund Giantsbane, the wildling warrior with a beard as epic as any of his tall tales, could be great if voiced by none other than Patrick Warburton. Warbuton gave us Kronk's unforgettable voice in The Emperor's New Groove, blending brawn with a surprisingly sweet charm. Can you imagine Tormund's hearty laugh or his boisterous battle cries echoing in Warburton's deep, resonant tones? Warburton's ability to deliver lines with a mix of seriousness and a wink would perfectly suit Tormund's larger-than-life tales of, let's say, "romantic endeavors" with a bear.
Warburton's voice has a unique blend of roughness and gentleness, ideal for a character who's as likely to crack a joke as he is to swing an axe. Warburton's excellent comedic timing, with he demonstrates with voice roles on shows like The Venture Bros. and Family Guy, could make Tormund's funny scenes sing.
But it's not just the laughs; there's a warmth to his voice that could add layers to Tormund, showing us the heart beneath the wildling warrior facade. With Warburton voicing Tormund, we'd get a character who's not just about muscle and mayhem but also moments of unexpected tenderness and loyalty. It would be a performance that captures the essence of Tormund: a fearsome fighter with a laugh as big as his heart.
What do you think of our pics? Anyone you would swap out? And who would you like to hear voicing characteres we didn't mention?
