Logo for 'The Sandman 2' revealed, plus six episode titles!
By Ashley Hurst
It looks like the second season of The Sandman will be marketed in the same way as Stranger Things, with the new season being called "The Sandman 2" instead of "The Sandman season 2." And we have a stunning new logo:
Right now, we know that The Sandman season 2 will cover some of the most popular stories from Neil Gaiman's original comic book, including the Season of Mists story arc and the wonderful Brief Lives volume. We'll also get a few beloved one-shot stories too, like "The Song of Orpheus" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
Plus, we'll also learn a lot more about the Endless, the seven cosmic beings that embody different aspects of the human condition. We're already familiar with Dream, Death, Desire and Despair. In the new season, we'll be introduced to Delirium, Destiny and Destruction. Earlier this week, Mason Alexander Park (Desire) posted a behind-the-scenes image from the set on their Instagram Story, which is where we got that logo above.
The Sandman season 2 episode titles!
Thanks to Redanian Intelligence, we know the titles for the first six episodes of season 2. Take a look, but note that these titles are listed in no particular order:
- "The Song of Orpheus"
- "More Devils Than Vast Hell Can Hold"
- "Brief Lives"
- "Family Blood"
- "The Ruler of Hell"
- "Season of Mists"
The Sandman 2 has been in production since November 2023, and filming is set to conclude sometime in August of this year. Neil Gaiman has previously revealed that half of the season is currently in a watchable state. No release date has been set, but 2025 seems like a sensible estimate. In the meantime, spinoff Dead Boy Detectives is now streaming on Netflix, and it features some cameos from The Sandman characters! We'll take what we can get during the wait.
