Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic

48-year-old Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal is one of the visible actors working today. He's the Mandalorian in The Mandalorian, he's Joel in The Last of Us, he's in the cast of Ridley Scott's Gladiator sequel, and now he's playing one of the most iconic superheroes in the Marvel canon: Reed Richards, a scientist who has the power to contort and stretch his body in all kinds of fantastic ways.

Reed Richards is the de facto leader of the Fantastic Four, which fights crime as a makeshift superhero family. Like the other members, he got his powers after being bombarded by cosmic rays.

Richards was previously played by Ioan Gruffudd in the 2005 Fantastic Cour movie series, Miles Teller in the 2015 movie, and John Krasinski in 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where he appeared for a short bloody cameo.

Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch

30-year-old English actor Joseph Quinn has been acting in movies and TV for a while, but he rocketed to a new level of exposure in 2022 when he played Dungeons & Dragons-loving metalhead Eddie Munson in the fourth season of Stranger Things on Netflix. Joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe will only make him more visible.

Johnny Storm is the youngest member of the Fantastic Four, a hot-head who can control nearby fires. He can also engulf his own body in flame by shouting his catch phrase, "Flame on!" Also he can fly.

Johnny Storm was played by Chris Evans, the guy who played Captain America in the MCU, in the 2005 movie. He was played by Michael B. Jordan in the 2015 movie.

Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman

Like Quinn, the 35-year-old English actress Vanessa Kirby has been working in television and film for years, but broke through thanks to a Netflix series: she played a young Princess Margaret on The Crown.

As you can probably guess from her name, the Invisible Woman can become invisible. Less obviously, she can also create protective force fields. Sue Storm is married to Reed Richards and helped raise her adopted younger brother Johnny Storm.

Sue Storm was played by Jessica Alba in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie and by Kate Mara in the 2015 film.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing

46-year-old American actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach recently won an Emmy for his work as Richard "Richie" Jerimovich in the Hulu series The Bear. He also had a role in the first season of Star Wars: Andor, in addition to many other film and TV parts over the past two decades and change.

Ben Grimm is the only member of the Fantastic Four family to have his appearance greatly altered by the solar storm that gave this group this powers. He now looks like a rocky mutant, complete with super strength, defense, and a catch phrase: "It's clobberin' time!" He's often insecure about it.

Ben Grimm was played by Michael Chiklis in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie and by Jamie Bell in the 2015 film.

The new Fantastic Four movies releases into theaters on July 25, 2025.
