No, we don't have a release window for The Rings of Power season 2 yet
A few places are reporting that the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has a release window. Unfortunately, it's nothing we didn't already know.

The first season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power aired on Amazon Prime Video in the summer of 2022, opposite the first season of HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon. Filming on the second season of The Rings of Power ended fairly early last year, before Hollywood actors went on strike, so Amazon has been in a good position to pick a favorable release date.
Oddly, even with time on their side, we still don't know when new episodes will start to drop, except that it's happening sometime this year. Amazon Studios executive Vernon Sanders suggested that season 2 would be coming sometime in 2024 way back in 2022, and we've been hearing whispers about new episodes dropping in "late 2024" for a while. But we can't narrow it down further that that.
That's why it's a touch odd that multiple outlets are reporting that a release window for The Rings of Power season 2 has been "confirmed." Their source is an article from The Hollywood Reporter which offhandedly mentions that new episodes are coming "later this year," which is something we already knew. Unfortunately, we're no more knowledgable now than we have been for years.
And that's a little strange, because The Rings of Power is a major series for Amazon and you'd figure they'd want to pick a release date and start drumming up hype. We have to believe an announcement is coming soon, especially since showrunners Patrick McKay and JD Payne are already laying groundwork for season 3. We'll keep our ears to the ground.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2 coming in summer 2024
By way of contrast, actor Norman Reedus took to his Instagram Stories to share what looks like a couple of images from a trailer for the second season of his show The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The full title of the second season is The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: The Book of Carol, which is a mouthful. In any case, one of the stills says the new season is coming in the summer of 2024, according to IGN.
Now that is a release window. As for The Rings of Power, I'm betting it will indeed be out later in 2024. We know that the new season of House of the Dragon is coming out this summer, possibly as early as June, and The Rings of Power may want to avoid another head-to-head clash.
