The Rise of the Dragon is a book about the history of the Targaryen family from George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, written by Martin, Elio M. García Jr. and Linda Antonsson. In addition to giving readers a run-down on the adventures of Westeros' most incestuous family, the book features plentiful illustrations from artist Ertaç Altınöz. They're pretty spectacular:

So Altınöz is an official Song of Ice and Fire artists. But he also makes artwork inspired by the series as a fan. For instance, here's his take on what a poster for a Jon Snow TV show might look like:

We've known for a while that HBO was developing a show about Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington on Game of Thrones. This series, which was pitched by Harington himself, would pick up with Jon after the end of the original show, which concluded with Jon being banished to the Night's Watch and escorting the wildlings back beyond the Wall. Does he stay in the far north with them? Does he return to Castle Black? This show would explore what happens next.

It's important to note that this is a concept poster for a theoretical show. Last we heard, HBO wasn't going forward with active development for the series, although that could change at a later date. Right now, they have one Game of Thrones spinoff on the air -- House of the Dragon -- and another in the pipeline: The Hedge Knight: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. To avoid oversaturating the market with Game of Thrones shows, that may be all the network does for now.

Still, if HBO ever does want to actively develop a Jon Snow series, Ertaç Altınöz would be a great hire. You can see more of his work here.
