Outlander Season 7B has an official premiere date
By Ariba Bhuvad
Outlander fans, it is time to celebrate! On World Outlander Day over the weekend, not only did we get a new teaser trailer for what is to come, but the STARZ network has officially announced a premiere date for the final eight episodes of Season 7: Outlander Season 7B will premiere on November 22, just a few days shy of the Thanksgiving holiday, giving fans much to be grateful for. I mean, the timing could not be more perfect!
Every week, new episodes of Outlander will drop on the STARZ app and other STARZ streaming platforms on Fridays at midnight EST, before airing linearally 8:00 p.m. EST. So if you need to get STARZ, get it, and if you already have it, you are all set to go!
The network released an official description of what is in store for the final eight episodes, and let me tell you, it sounds epic:
"Coming off of the first half of ‘Outlander’ season seven, viewers find Claire (Caitríona Balfe), Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Young Ian (John Bell) leaving the colonies and arriving in their beloved homeland: Scotland. The perils of the Revolutionary War force them to choose between standing by those they love and fighting for the land they have made their new home. Meanwhile, Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) face new enemies across time, and must battle the forces that threaten to pull their family apart. As loyalties change and painful secrets come to light, Jamie and Claire’s marriage is tested like never before. With their love binding them over oceans and centuries, can the MacKenzies and Frasers find their way back to each other?"
Anyone else have goosebumps right now?
What lies ahead for Outlander
As many of you sadly know, Outlander will be ending after its eighth season, which is currently in production in Scotland. It's tough as a fan to say goodbye to such a unique and beloved series. But luckily we don't have to just yet, and STARZ is readying a prequel series called Blood of My Blood. Plus we can always re-binge the original.
It appears that Season 7B will be focused heavily on the family coming together. During the Season 7A finale, we learned that Jamie (Sam Heughan), Claire (Caitriona Balfe), and Ian (John Hunter Bell) arrived on the shores of Scotland. Meanwhile, Roger (Richard Rankin) returned to find his son, who was abducted through time and space! Jaime and Claires daughter Brianna's (Sophie Skelton), Roger's husband, remains in the present for now.
It seems everyone but Brianna will be in one place, which begs the question: will she travel through the stones as well to find her family? And what will happen as the Revolutionary War rages on in what will become the United States of America? Will history as we know it change, and does all of this put the Fraser/MacKenzie family at risk?
We certainly have a lot of questions, and we're just about 5.5 months away from getting some answers! Be sure to tune in on November 22 to catch the premiere of Outlander Season 7B!
