The Star Wars streams are crossing. In the original trilogy, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher played Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia respectively, Force-sensitive twins separated and birth and raised by different sets of guardians. Their parents weren't available to do the job, since their mother Padmé Amidala died in childbirth and their father was a tyrannical monster known to the galaxy as Darth Vader.

In the Star Wars prequel trilogy, we met Padmé and Darth Vader back in their younger days, when he was still going by Anakin Skywalker. Padmé was played by Natalie Portman and Anakin by Jake Lloyd and then Hayden Christensen.

The prequel trilogy was released years after the original trilogy, so even though Portman and Christensen were significantly younger than Hamill and Fisher, they played their parents. Mark Hamill, ever cheeky, played on that fact when he ran into Natalie Portman at the Golden Globes over the weekend. "Now I have finally met my 'mother,'" he wrote alongside a picture of the two of them together:

Mother is 42 and son is 72. Don't you judge the way their family works.

Unfortunately, Carrie Fisher died back in 2016, so there was never an opportunity to get a picture of the three of them together. However, Fisher and Portman did take pictures separately before Fisher's death, which you can see here.

Next. marvel. Early impressions say Marvel's Echo is "intriguing," "violent," "refreshing" and "alright". dark
