The season 4 finale of The Boys was epic, gruesome, vulgar, and pretty much every other word out there. In terms of progressing the story, the credits rolled just as Homelander had gained complete control of the United States government, and things were turning very ugly.

Speaking of turning ugly, Vought CEO Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) injected herself with a shot of Compound V, which gives people superpowers. She made this desperate move after overhearing the members of the Seven plotting to kill her and other Vought employees. The V takes instant effect, transforming her into something unlike anything we've seen before. While we don't know exactly what she turns into — the scene cuts away at the final moment — actress Colby Minifie believes something very disgusting is around the corner.

Compound V producers all kinds of superpowers in the people who take it, from super-strength to teleportation to talking to fish. But Minifie doubts Ashley is going to get a cool power. "They all are humiliating and disgusting, because I think they have to be humiliating for Ashley," she told TV Line. "Like, she has to, like, hide in a closet to get her power ready somewhere, because it’s not going to be that easy for Ashley. There has to be, like, a bittersweet part of this, I think, but I don’t know what they’re going to choose."

Minifie has already pitched a couple of her own ideas. Given that Ashley is bald after tearing her hair out from stress — you try managing the sociopathic Homelander and see how you handle it — there seems to be an obvious choice: "She pops her arm up and her armpit hair grows really fast and lassos people," Minifie suggested to TV Guide. "I was thinking something hair-related would be really funny because of her baldness. But that might be too on the nose."

I'm certain that showrunner Eric Kripke and his team have plenty of disgusting ideas in mind. It'll be a while before we find out. The fifth and final season of The Boys is slated to premiere sometime in 2026.
