The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 release date?

In 2021, the now-hit Amazon Prime show The Legend of Vox Machina burst onto the scene, and it was an eye-popper. An adaptation of the popular web series Critical Role, the series combines moments of heart-stopping action, irreverent witty humor, and tear-in-the-eye inducing character development. Its source material, Critical Role, is a web series where professional voice actors play Dungeons and Dragons campaigns together, bringing their natural charisma to the classic tabletop role-playing game. Those same actors voice the characters in Amazon Prime’s adaptation, but now with brilliant animation to create a full television experience.

In an era where fantasy and sci-fi shows are increasingly taking more time to release each new season, Vox Machina fans got to enjoy the first two seasons released back to back in as many years; as noted by ScreenRant, the first and second seasons of the series were released in January of 2022 and January of 2023 respectively. While Amazon has not yet announced a release date for season 3, hopeful fans are crossing their fingers for a release a few weeks after New Years.

The greatest cause for concern for meeting a January deadline from Amazon would be the continuing fallout from the writers and actors strikes that hit Hollywood this year. While we don’t yet know the degree to which Vox Machina was affected, we can hope that the combination of extant source material and a ready voice cast means a quick turnaround. For current and future fans, the wait continues, but hopefully not for much longer. Season 3 could be only weeks away!
