Today is the last day to sign up for yearly Max subscriptions at deep discounts, as much as 42%! Normally, yearly subscriptions to Max cost $100, $150 and $200 at the With Ads, Ad-Free and Ultimate Ad-Free tiers respectively. But if you sign up by Wednesday, April 9, you can subscribe for $70, $111 and $140.

Those aren't bad savings ahead of what should be an interesting year for Max. For one thing, the second season of the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon premieres on HBO and Max on Sunday, June 16. Also, the very popular movie Dune: Part Two will likely be streaming exclusively on Max soon, not to mention the spinoff show Dune: Prophecy coming later this year. The final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm just wrapped up, the docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV has been getting a lot of press, Robert Downey Jr. will headline the show The Sympathizer, and the third season of the hilarious show Hacks premieres on May 2. Your money and your time are your own to spend, but given the discounts, it's you're interested in Max this is a pretty good time to sign up.

You can also subscribe to Max on a per-month basis, which will run you $10 at the With Ads tier, $16 at the Ad-Free tier and $20 at the Ultimate Ad-Free tier. That adds up to $119.88, $191.88 and $239.88 per year respectively, so you'll save even more if you want to lock in a yearly subscription at the current low rates on offer.

For the record, the "With Ads" tier is what it sounds like; you can watch shows on Max but with limited ads. The difference between the "Ad-Free" and "Ultimate Ad-Free" tiers is that the latter allows you to stream on more devices (four vs two) and allows for 4K Ultra HD video quality as opposed to Ultra HD, which you get with the other two tiers.

If you're interested, you can sign up for the discounted plans here, for one more day. They renew automatically at year's end at the rate at which you signed up unless you take action to cancel.
