For those of you who have been waiting for some news about Netflix's Wednesday, you can finally relax! Thanks to a video released by Netflix, we now know that not only is season 2 in production, but new cast members are joining the fun.

The first season of Wednesday came out back in November 2022. It's been about a year and a half since then, and by the time this new season comes out in 2025, we'll be hitting the three-year mark.

We have more details below, along with the video released by Netflix!

Who is joining the cast of Wednesday Season 2?

Quite a few new actors will be joining the cast of Wednesday season 2. We've got Doctor Who's Billie Piper, Boardwalk Empire's Steve Buscemi, Return to Silent Hill's Evie Templeton, Tiny Beautiful Things' Owen Painter, and Law & Order: Organized Crime's Noah Taylor. All of them will be joining as new series regulars, which we love!

In the cast reveal above, we see Thing going to deliver the new scripts to the cast members. In this teaser, we learn that Piper is playing Capri and Buscemi is playing Barry Dort.

Also, we've learned that along with the new series regulars, some supporting cast members from season 1 are being promoted to series regulars. This includes Catherine-Zeta Jones (Morticia Addams, Wednesday's mom), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams, Wednesday's dad), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams, Wednesday's brother), and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Sheriff Deputy Ritchie Santiago).

In season 1, we didn't get to see much of Wednesday's dynamic with her family, so I am personally looking forward to that in season 2. According to Deadline, there are a few additional guest cast members joining the second season, including Joanna Lumley (Grandmama), Christopher Lloyd (unknown role, but he played Uncle Fester in the movies!), Thandiwe Newton (Dr. Fairburn), Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo.

Oh, and Fred Armisen will be returning to play the role of Uncle Fester! And of course, the incomparable Jenna Ortega will be back to play the titular role of Wednesday Addams.

Two series regulars will not be returning in Wednesday season 2

There's a lot of new blood up there. However, there are also three actors who were series regulars in season 1 — Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane and Naomi J Ogawa — who were not part of this announcement. Deadline has confirmed that White and Ogawa will not return for Wednesday season 2, and that McShane will return in a reduced capacity.

Jamie McShane will return as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, but he may not stick around for long. As for Naomi J Ogawa, her vampire character got less and less screen time as the first season went on, so she has been written out.

The big news is Percy Hynes White, who played psychic Nevermore student Xavier Thorpe. Wednesday saved his life at the end of the first season, and it was suggested that he had more to do. But apparently not. There have been rumors circulating for a while that White would be written off the show, and they may have been on the money.

There are various other characters that we saw in the first season that will be back, so keep an eye out for that when Wednesday Season 2 premieres on Netflix in 2025!

Michelle Yeoh will play a replicant on Amazon's Blade Runner TV show. Oscar winner, martial arts legend and all-around icon will star as a replicant in Amazons' new Blade Runner TV show, Blade Runner 2099.. dark. Next
