The Predator is on the hunt again! Today, Hulu and 20th Century debuted the first trailer for Predator: Killer of Killers, its new anthology film helmed by Prey director Dan Trachtenberg that releases on June 6. This new installment in the long-running Predator franchise is an anthology film which shows how the fearsome alien hunter came to Earth during three different time periods, crossing paths with different human cultures in its quest to slay the most dangerous quarry on the planet.

"The anthology story follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession, and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause. But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent – the ultimate killer of killers," reads the official description from Hulu.

Check out the trailer, where we do indeed get to see the Predator go toe-to-toe with ninjas, Samurai, Vikings, and fighter pilots in World War II:

Predator: Killer of Killers will be a bloody good warm-up for Predator: Badlands

After the success of Prey, where the Predator faced off against Comanche warriors on the Great Plains, I'm not too surprised to see that 20th Century's next Predator project is another period piece. We've known that Trachtenberg made a secret Predator movie since late last year, and now we can finally put a name to it. Comments at the time caused me to think it might be an animated film, so this new announcement doesn't come wholly as a surprise.

But some of the details certainly do. Predator: Killer of Killers is an anthology movie which will combine three separate stories, detailing encounters with Predators at different times in human history. Usually that sort of thing would call for an anthology series, with each encounter forming the basis for an episode. The fact that they'll all be put together in one movie makes me really curious about how the movie will structure its narrative. Will it tell one story at a time? Weave them together to stun audiences with some greater implications? All I know is that Dan Trachtenberg absolutely knocked it out of the park with Prey, so I'm very much inclined to see where he takes us in Killer of Killers.

This isn't the only Predator movie coming out this year either. Trachtenberg's upcoming live-action Predator film starring Elle Fanning, Predator: Badlands, is tentatively due out on November 7, 2025. Predator: Killer of Killers will be a great way to get fans hyped before the main event hits theaters this fall.

Predator: Killer of Killers is co-directed by Dan Trachtenberg and Josh Wassung, from animation company The Third Floor. Micho Robert Rutare wrote the script for the film, based on a story he co-created with Trachtenberg.

Predator: Killer of Killers premieres exclusively on Hulu on June 6.
