Following its premiere on Cartoon Network in 2010, Adventure Time quickly established itself as the subversive, quirky, hilarious fantasy cartoon that could, spawning legions of fans and carving out a mark on nerd culture over its eight-year run that endures to this day. While the show was beloved, Adventure Time also had success in the comics sphere, with an original 75-issue series that released in 2012, an anthology series of shorts in 2016, and a 2025 revival. Jake, Finn and their friends aren't picky about the medium; they just try to have a good time no matter where you're experiencing their stories!
Now, for the first time ever, more than 100 issues of Adventure Time comics are being collected in one massive library from Oni Press, the multiple Eisner and Harvey Award-winning publisher behind series like Scott Pilgrim and Rick and Morty. Across six oversized hardcover volumes, readers can experience all the adventures of Jake and Finn as they traverse the Land of Ooo, exploring dungeons where fantasy creatures lurk, befriending virtuous companions like Princess Bubblegum, and contending with insane-yet-endearing characters like the Ice King.
The Adventure Time Deluxe Comics Library launched this week on Kickstarter, and it's already totally obliterated its funding goal after only three days. The collection spans six volumes, which come in a variety of formats including a standard deluxe hardcover set, a hardcover set with beautiful slipcases, and two different collector's boxes. That's aside from all the other add-ons and extras, of which there are many; head over to the Kickstarter for a full accounting.
Buzz terms like "definitive edition" tend to get thrown around at times, but in this case, it's easy to say that it is true without a doubt. The Adventure Time Deluxe Comics Library includes all 75 issues of the 2012 Adventure Time comic run, all 25 issues from Oni Press' 2025 revival series, the long out-of-print 2016 Adventure Time Comics anthology series, and more. If you enjoy Adventure Time and are into comic books, this collection is definitely worth a look. The Kickstarter even comes with options to purchase only specific volumes, so if you can't afford the price tags for the full library you can still get in on the action.
