Being an actress in the entertainment business is challenging enough without having your parenting skills put under a microscope. Unfortunately, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner knows this all too well, and she's not afraid to push back against critics who question her dedication as a mother while she co-parents her two young daughters.

Turner is best known for playing Sansa Stark in HBO's Game of Thrones. On Aug. 4, she decided to share a bunch of footage on her personal Instagram page from an Oasis concert she recently attended. In the pics and videos, she's shown having a good time with either friends or family. While her comment section was flooded with sweet comments, there were also a few people who questioned why her young daughters weren’t with her, sparking a conversation Turner was quick to address.

One user left a comment saying, "lmfao i think she has forgotten that she has two kids." Turner then quickly responded in a sarcastic way, explaining that she shares custody of her kids with their father, so it’s normal for the kids to be with their dad sometimes.

"Ah I’m so sorry sometimes I forget some people can’t think for themselves. So…. Get this….There’s this crazy thing called shared custody. Maybe, just maybe, they were with their dad that day."

If you weren't aware, Turner shares her two daughters, Willa and Delphine, with ex-husband Joe Jonas. Jonas is best known as a member of the Jonas Brothers, the popular pop-rock band that rose to fame in the late 2000s and has since built a successful solo and group career. He is also known for being an actor who starred in the Disney Channel TV movies Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.

He and Turner got together in 2016 before Jonas popped the question in 2017. They then got married in Las Vegas in 2019. But then in September 2023, the couple announced their decision to separate, beginning the process of divorce. However, it wasn't an easy divorce process at the beginning, with legal challenges arising over custody and living arrangements. Despite the difficulties, they worked through their differences and eventually reached a temporary custody agreement in October 2023. Their divorce was finalized a year later, in September 2024.

Honestly, I personally think it's no one’s business what happens behind closed doors in someone’s personal life, especially when it comes to parenting choices and family matters. We don't know what goes on in their day-to-day lives, the challenges they face, or the love and effort they put into raising their children, so it’s unfair to judge from the outside. But then again, it doesn't come as a surprise that public figures like Turner often face intense scrutiny. Unfortunately, this is something that comes with living life in the spotlight.
