Take the Black is your one-stop podcast chat show shop for all things sci-fi, fantasy, movies, TV, books. What's happening in pop culture? What huge shows can we bring you early reviews of? What influential genre authors are going down in a blaze of scandal? We talk about all that and more on the latest episode of Take the Black. Watch below!

We had a lot of celebrity news to discuss this week. On the lighter side of things, a fantasy author named Larry Correia used the dedication page of his latest book to taunt A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin. Is that funny and jovial? Is it petty and weird? We dig into it. On the more serious side, we dig into some of the serious allegations currently being leveled against Neil Gaiman, one of the biggest authors working in sci-fi and fantasy today. How do fans reckon with a creator this influential and popular being exposed as a serial abuser? We do our best with a knotty topic.

Back on the positive side of things, Daniel Roman is here with an early review of the Silo season 2 finale, which airs tomorrow, January 17 on Apple TV+. Was this season an improvement on the first? A step down? Is Daniel's opinion out of step with that of the fans?
