Every Wednesday, we here at WinterIsComing.net turn on our very expensive cameras (don't fact-check that) and record Take the Black, a podcast about all things sci-fi, fantasy, movies, TV and books. This week, as every week, we have a lot to cover. Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin is talking about the Game of Thrones prequel series time forgot: Blood Moon. We have an exclusive interview with Severance writer Mohamad El Masri ahead of the second season of Apple's mind-mending sci-fi workplace drama. And we dive into a pertinent DC Comics-themed question: why does everyone seem to love The Penguin show on HBO but hate Joker: Folie à Deux? The answer may surprise you...

...or not, I don't know your life. Anyway, watch us jaw on about all that and more below!

We also give our final thoughts on the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power now that it's properly over. Is the show long for this world? Is the muted reception a harbinger of the end of the golden age of fantasy TV? It is fine, and is that enough? All questions will be answered, all discourse will be resolved in our favor.

The Take the Black Podcast is on iTunes and YouTube Music! Please subscribe and download from there if you can. Also, you can help us out by giving us a five-star rating and leaving a friendly comment! We’re also now on Spreaker, so try us there, as well.

I also manage to sneak in a five-word review of HBO's new show The Franchise in there towards the end; there's never enough time in the hour to talk about everything we want to. Anyway, we stream new episodes of Take the Black every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. CST on the WinterIsComing YouTube and Facebook pages. And we're live, meaning you can interact with us and leave comments and chat! And if you miss us, there's always archived videos and podcasts. Let us talk as you drive, work out, drift off to sleep, or whatever else people do when listening to podcasts.
