When it comes to their fantasy adaptation series, The Witcher, Netflix has kept many details under wraps before releasing seasons. This remains true for the upcoming fourth and fifth seasons, which will mark the conclusion of the show. Ahead of the upcoming installment, which is still supposed to be released this year, one reputable publication has found new information.
According to a new report, composer Joseph Trapanese is back for seasons 4 and 5. This update comes from Redanian Intelligence, a site with an incredible track record of news and updates for all things related to The Witcher.
Trapanese joined the Netflix series in its second season, working alongside Polish band Percival, who contributed to the score of the seminal video games. While the report confirms Trapanese's involvement, there's no confirmation that Percival will continue to help out.

The report also says production designer Andrew Laws is back for the final two seasons. Laws has been involved in the series from the very start—upwards of seven years—helping establish the show's distinct visual language.
Having these key figures continuing their outstanding work behind-the-scenes is undoubtedly a big win for the Witcher franchise.
More Witcher world updates
Another big piece of news revealed last month, yet again by Redanian Intelligence, comes in the form of Emily-Jo Young being cast as Shani. Emily-Jo Young is a relatively unknown actress, best known for her role in Paramount+'s Sexy Beast. The Witcher is set to be her first major role.
A medical student from the University of Oxenfurt, Shani is a recurring character in both The Witcher novels by Andrzej Sapkowski and the video games from CD Projekt Red. While Shani won't be involved in season 4, she will make an appearance in the show's final season. This is good news for long-time fans; many figured she wouldn't appear at all after not being cast in previous seasons.
While we're on the topic of The Witcher, developer CD Projekt Red is working with Go On Board for a follow-up board game to their immensely successful The Witcher: Old World.
As per the official Witcher site, the tabletop game takes players to the School of the Wolf.
"Take on the role of Wolf School witchers and hunt down those responsible for a brutal attack that left the school devastated," the synopsis reads. "On your path, you’ll get to explore the vast lands of Kaedwen, battle monsters, train your skills, and manage limited resources — all the while seeking to unravel a conspiracy that threatens the very existence of witchers."
This is a big deal for fans. The Witcher: Old World remains among the largest tabletop crowdfunding campaigns of all time. No doubt this one will also be massive. The Gamefound page for The Witcher: Legacy is live now, and you can find it here. If you invest now, you'll receive an exclusive Gorgon monster miniature!
