Ralph Fiennes is best known for playing Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies, although that a little reductive when it comes to an actor of his reputation: he's been nominated for an Oscar three times, for Schindler's List, The English Patient and last year's Conclave. He also starred in a movie called The Return, about the final chapters of The Odyssey where Odysseus returns home from a long journey to find everything much changed. And for that role, he apparently needed to get shredded to hell and back, as various images floating around X attest:

Odysseus is a well-traveled guy; he doesn't survive a journey that long without being able to lift, so I suppose this makes sense.

Fiennes' personal trailer Dan Avasilcai posted a few of these videos himself, proud of his work taking the 62-year-old Fiennes and turning him into a lean, mean Greek hero of myth and legend. And fair enough. Fiennes said he wanted to look "ropey," and ropey he looks. Avasilcai can probably get some decent business on the back of this.
Interestingly, The Return actually came out in theaters late last year. I'm not sure why these images of Fiennes are only going viral now, but it's never too late to look at Ralph Fiennes' crushing at battle ropes and go, "Whoa, is that the snake guy from Harry Potter?"
Another interesting thing: The Odyssey is having a bit of a moment right now. Christopher Nolan is working on a film version of Homer's epic, due out next year, that stars Matt Damon as Odysseus. Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, John Leguizamo and Elliot Page will also be part of the cast, so it's festooned with stars. One way or another, you will see this classic tale played out onscreen. Meanwhile, HBO is working on a new Harry Potter TV show, although I doubt Fiennes will be involved with that.
