Tonight, Disney and Lucasfilm will debut the second season of Andor, its Star Wars series about the birth of the Rebel Alliance from creator Tony Gilroy. While most Star Wars shows depict the struggle between the Galactic Empire and the Rebels in broad strokes or more general terms, Andor gets into the nitty gritty to make audiences feel the reality of the crushing weight of the Empire's overreach. The show's first season was one of the most striking television debuts Lucasfilm has released. Can its second and final season give it a worthy conclusion?
We won't have to wait long to find out. If you're wondering when Andor premieres, here are the details.
What time does Andor season 2 release on Disney?
The first three episodes of Andor season 2 land on Disney+ on Tuesday, April 22 at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CST. Each new batch of episodes will drop at that same time in the weeks to come.
Andor season 2 release schedule
Andor season 2 has 12 episodes total. They'll be released in batches of three at a time, so this is what the season's release schedule looks like when you break it down:
- April 22: Episodes 1-3
- April 29: Episodes 4-6
- May 6: Episodes 7-9
- May 13: Episodes 10-12
One of the cool things about Andor season 2 is that each batch of three episodes forms a full arc of the story. There's a one-year time jump between each batch. So essentially, every Tuesday we'll drop in on a particularly important time in the life of spy Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), before skipping ahead into the next. This is a pretty bold way to break up the season, but given how good season 1 was, I'm more than willing to give the show the benefit of the doubt that it will work for it.

Where can I watch Andor season 2?
As of right now, the only place to watch Andor is on Disney+. While many Hulu shows are also on Disney+, the opposite doesn't always hold true. So if you want to watch Andor, to Disney+ you must go!
We'll be reviewing the season, so make sure to check back as we head into this intense final chapter for Cassian Andor and the rest of his Rebel allies.
