Another week, another barrage of stories from the worlds of fantasy, sci-fi, movies, TV and books. We're covering it all here at WiC Weekly.

Let's start with an editorial. We're awash in great genre TV shows now, but there are others that were taken from us too soon:

The Last of Us blew out the back of our heads in its latest episode. Joel seemed to take his curtain call in "Through the Valley." But if you were watching the show for Pedro Pascal, know that he hasn't left the building just yet.

With its latest episode, The Last of Us took a bold step I wish more TV shows would take:

The third season of The Wheel of Time may be over (feel free to renew it anytime, Amazon), but the books are still out there for all to enjoy:

We're getting some early rumblings about the third season of The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power, Amazon's other big epic fantasy series:

We're still reeling from the latest, harrowing episode of The Last of Us. Apparently, it could have been worse, hard as that is to believe:

Another new episode of The Last of Us airs tomorrow night on HBO and Max. It probably won't kick us in the gut quite as hard as the last one did. Either way, if you want more of where that came from, we have recommendations:
