It's that very special time of the week where we update you as to all the biggest pieces of news from the worlds of sci-fi, fantasy, movies, TV and books from the past seven days. Let's start with A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin, who never seems to lack for interesting things to say:

From one famous fantasy author to another, Brandon Sanderson weighed in on the cancelation of Amazon's The Wheel of Time show. Again, he had nothing but interesting things to say:

So many famous fantasy authors, so little time. This time it's The First Law author's Joe Abercrombie's turn. Not only is his newest book getting turned into a movie, James Cameron is working on it!

Reclusive author Patrick Rothfuss made a rare public appearance where he mentioned The Doors of Stone, the very-long-in-coming third book in his Kingkiller Chronicle trilogy:

Let's try and tip-toe away from fantasy authors. This one only tangentially involves George R.R. Martin. Mostly it's about the upcoming Elden Ring movie:

Hulu dropped a new Predator movie this weekend, and it's another banger from director Dan Trachtenberg:

HBO's new Game of Thrones prequel series isn't coming quite as quick as we would like, but we're hoping for the best when it finally arrives early next year:
