The wheel rolls on, and news stories come and go. We're here to remind you of all the biggest ones to come out over the past seven days in the worlds of sci-fi, fantasy, movies, TV and books.

Let's start with a look at some of the great fantasy series that we could see on our screens if Hollywood can ever get its act together:

Netflix is going forward with a live-action adaptation of Assassin's Creed. Will this continue the recent trend of great video game adaptations?
