We had plenty to say about all things sci-fi, fantasy, movies, books and TV this past week here at WiC. Here are some of those things:

Let's start with an editorial. HBO is making a new Harry Potter TV show. Good idea? Bad idea? The takes are flying:

Speaking of that new Harry Potter show, the cast announcements keep rolling in:

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is coming back for a third season. It's still a ways off, but at least things are moving:

Joe Abercombie is continuing his promotional tour for his new book The Devils, talking to big-name fantasy authors at every stop:

We can't seem to stay away from Harry Potter. With a new show coming up, it's on our minds:

We're also stuck on the cancellation of The Wheel of Time. It's far from the first time a network has axed a show well before its time had come:

Forty years after the original, we're getting a sequel to the Star Wars satire Spaceballs, and the new movie looks like it's picking up right where the original left off:

Circling back to The Wheel of Time, something we do often around here, one of the lead actors finally weighed in on the cancellation, and I'm betting a lot of the fans can relate to how she feels:

The live-action remake of How To Train Your Dragon came out in theaters this weekend. Does the new movie stand up to the original? What did we think?

Finally, with Emmy season ongoing, the casts and crew of lots of shows are out there explaining why they deserve all the little gold statues. That includes the cast and crew of House of the Dragon, who also teased a bit about season 3:

We'll be on this beat all week, every week. Check back on WiC for more.
