Wicked: For Good is headed to theaters November 21, 2025, just a year after the first film hit the big screen. Elphaba and G(a)linda's story left off with the newly crowned Wicked Witch heading off on her broom, flying away from the Emerald City and toward her destiny.

While the released trailers have given fans plenty to look forward to, a new teaser released by Universal Pictures gives a better look at Elphaba's true power and what we can expect her to do with it.

The teaser features several scenes we've seen in other trailers, including the iconic voiceover of the Wizard asking Dorothy and her gang to bring him Elphaba's broom. However, if you look closely, there are new additions, particularly of Elphaba flying without the help of her broom. It helps establish just how much control she has over her powers now, and how she will use that against the Wizard.

Despite the happy dancing scenes in the trailers, Elphaba tells the Wizard to run toward the end of the teaser, marking it clear that the moment of joy will be short-lived. It reinforces that we will see Elphaba on a mission to right the wrongs of the Wizard. He looks genuinely scared of Elphaba in the scene, so we can look forward to confident, powerful witch come November.

Move aside Twisters, there's a new tornado in town. The teaser also gives a great look at the infamous tornado that will bring Dorothy to Oz, and it's majestic in the most cruelly beautiful way. Audiences saw some of Madame Morrible's power in the first film, but the new teaser shows her wielding it differently, and just how strong a hold over the weather she has.

Notably, the teaser does not include any new music snippets, featuring the same portions of "No Good Dead" we've heard before. Those hoping for a sneak peek into of the new songs will be disappointed. But, in the ticket sales announcement earlier this week, fans were finally treated to what Jonathan Bailey's singing in "As Long as You're Mine" will sound like.

The music has always been a huge part of the Broadway show, and it translated well to the screen adaptation. Knowing that the second film will feature two new songs written just for the movie, one for Elphaba and one for Glinda, is an exciting prospect.

There is still no look at who is playing Dorothy, as her face continues to be hidden in the teasers and trailers. Will we ever see it, since Wicked isn't Dorothy's story? We'll have to wait and see.

The next few weeks are destined to be filled with more excitement, with the release of the film on the horizon. Stay tuned as we keep you updated on all things Wicked: For Good.
