Hudson Williams fans, it's finally time to meet Henry Park! Quickly after the actor made his star-making breakthrough in the hockey romance phenomenon Heated Rivalry, Williams booked a villainous new role in another Canadian drama series, this time the slightly spooky play adaptation Yaga, which also stars Carrie-Ann Moss, Clark Backo, and Noah Reid
After months of waiting patiently for the Canadian Screen Award winning actor's new show, Yaga received a release date, as well as the official teaser trailer, at San Diego Comic-Con. The first-look poster shared ahead of time was just the beginning! As fans had long hoped when the series filmed earlier this year, we're going to be spending this fall watching the witchy supernatural thriller.
Yaga premieres on AMC+ in October 2026
As revealed by the cast and creator Kat Sandler at Comic-Con, Yaga makes its premiere in October 2026 on Crave in Canada and AMC+ in the United States. The series will also be available for fans to watch around the world. Additionally, the series will air on Sky in the United Kingdom and Ireland, HBO Max in other European territories, Foxtel in Australia, and Sky New Zealand in New Zealand.
Sandler, Backo, Reid, and Moss appeared at Comic-Con to present the teaser trailer and offer some insights about the upcoming series, while Williams sent a video message since he wasn't able to join the cast. The first official teaser offers a taste of the series with an introduction spoken by Carrie-Anne Moss that quickly showcases the dark, steamy, twisted, and shocking clips that follow.

Based on the play of the same name written by Kat Sandler, Yaga offers a modern take on the Baba Yaga folklore myth as a twisty mystery limited series. When young fishery heir Henry Park (Hudson Williams) goes missing, private investigator Rapp (Noah Reid) touches down in a coastal town to investigate, much to the frustration of local detective Carson (Clark Backo).
Rapp's investigation also ends up with college professor Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss), who also happens to have an affinity for younger men, at the center. According to the official synopsis, the series promises "a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic." If you have read the gripping play, then you know exactly how this tease unravels into various surprises.
Yaga was picked up to series by Crave as an eight-episode half-hour drama series, though international territories had the option to release the series with four hour-long episodes. For those watching in the United States, AMC+ will adhere to the half-hour, eight-episode release pattern in line with the intended rollout from the show's Canadian home, though a release schedule isn't confirmed.
Sandler acted as showrunner and wrote the series based on her play. In addition the four main cast members, Yaga also features supporting performances from Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle, Hiro Kanagawa, Emilija Baranac, Georgia Acken, Anisa Harris, and Sam Krochmal. Yaga will also premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Yaga premieres in October on AMC+ in the United States.
