David Harbour is one of the tallest members of the Stranger Things cast, a fact made glaringly obvious when Hopper appears alongside Eleven and Kali.
While many members of the Stranger Things cast are close in height, Harbour stands taller than all of his costars in the main cast of the show. At a commanding 6’3, Harbour is the tallest member of the main cast of Netflix’s hit series and the height difference between Harbour and his costars is definitely noticeable on screen.
In Stranger Things season 5 part 2, fans were stunned to see just how much taller Hopper was than the likes of Eleven, Kali, and Joyce. This isn’t a trick of the camera, Harbour just happens to be that tall. In fact, he’s a foot taller than all three of these particular characters.
Both Millie Bobbie Brown (Eleven) and Winona Ryder (Joyce) stand at 5’3, while Linnea Berthelsen (Kali) is an even 5’ tall. This means that Harbour is a foot taller than both Brown and Ryder, and over a foot taller than Berthelsen. In other words, no your eyes were not deceiving you while watching the episodes, Harbour is literally just that much taller than Joyce, Eleven, and Kali.
It certainly helps that Brown and Berthelsen are much shorter than Harbour, as it plays well to the character dynamic in the show in selling that Kali and Eleven are meant to be far younger than Hopper. Eleven and Kali's smaller size also serves as a reminder of why you should never judge a book by its cover. While Hopper might be bigger and taller than both Eleven and Kali, the two women are far stronger thanks to their unique abilities.
